Get a plan.
You send a game. Coach Imran breaks it down, draws on your own film the way coaches do in a film room, and sends back a growth plan with the drills to fix what he sees. For players 11 and up, middle school to college, and the parents behind them.
What a breakdown looks like
Your plays, frozen and drawn on.
Most players never see their own game the way a coach does. We stop the film at the moment that matters, circle what you saw, draw what you missed, and show the better read. Then we turn it into work you can do this week.
The drawing style from our daily Your Read series on The WalaWay. In your review the drawings go on your own game film.
→ Strengths first
The 3 things you already do well, so you keep doing them on purpose.
→ 3 priorities
The habits costing you the most, with the exact time in the film where each one shows up.
→ Drawn on your film
A breakdown video: freeze frames, circles, arrows and slow motion on your own plays.
→ The better read
What the defense gave you, and what the best decision was, play by play.
→ A growth plan
Drills, reps and weekly targets you can do alone, with a team or with a trainer.
→ Honest and kind
Straight talk a player can hear. Respect first, then the work.
Real practice footage, faces blurred, shared with parent consent. Game film gets the same treatment.

Film that works best
- A full game or a half, from a steady, raised spot with most of the court in view
- A phone is fine. Turn it sideways and don't zoom in and out
- Tell us the jersey number and color, and the quarter or time of plays you care about
- Hudl and team film are perfect. Highlight reels alone don't show enough, so send a full game too

Questions
Film review questions
Who reviews my film?
Coach Imran Nanlawala, who has coached youth and high school basketball for more than ten years and breaks down film every week on The WalaWay. Team breakdowns and international players may also get a second look from Coach Mounir.
What age or level is this for?
Players 11 and up: middle school, high school, AAU, prep, college and adult leagues. The review is written for the player, and parents of younger players get the plan too.
What's the difference between a Film Check and a Film Breakdown?
A Film Check is a written review with time stamps and a two week drill plan. A Film Breakdown adds a video where your own plays are frozen and drawn on, the better read on key possessions, and a longer 4 week growth plan. Most players learn faster when they can see it.
How do I send a big video file?
The easiest way is a link: YouTube (set to unlisted), Hudl, Google Drive or Dropbox. If the file is on your phone, use the upload button in the form and it goes straight to us.
Will this get me recruited?
Film review makes you a better player, and better players get noticed. It is not a recruiting service and nobody can promise a roster spot or a scholarship. For the recruiting side, see the Recruiting and Academics Plan.
What if my film isn't usable?
We'll tell you within 2 business days. Send new film, or ask for a full refund.
Can I cancel the monthly plan?
Yes, anytime before your next month starts. The Season Plan runs for the season and can be paid in full or in payments; we go over the price on a free 15 minute planning call.
